PDL laser

PDL laser is an effective treatment for facial redness spots and dilated vessels caused by rosacea disease.

Symptoms:
• Healing scars and reducing scars after surgery

Treatment method:

• For this laser, the patient is first photographed.
• The treatment area must be completely cleaned and the eyes covered during the treatment.
• Laser pulses cause a burning sensation that usually lasts up to 10 minutes after completion.

• After the treatment, depending on the type of treatment, a purple bruise, redness occurs, which may last 1-2 weeks.

• Swelling after laser often resolves within 1 to 2 days and may be severe in some areas such as the eye area.
• Using an ice-pack for 10 to 15 minutes every hour can help reduce swelling.
• Bathing and washing the treated area is not prohibited, but the treated area should be cleaned slowly.
• Zinc oxide ointment is used twice a day on the treatment area for up to 1 week. If a discharge or scab develops in the area, antibiotic ointment should be used twice a day to reduce the risk of infection.

• The use of cosmetics should be avoided for up to a week to prevent skin damage.
• During the treatment, sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher should be used regularly.
• Follow-up treatments should be performed to improve efficacy and differences between different regions.
• Skin discoloration in the treated area is common, especially in dark skin, which can be resolved within a few months with proper sun protection.

Stay in the hospital: outpatient (1 to 2 hours)
Duration of full recovery: The purpose of the treatment is to lighten the treatment area. The amount of this recovery is variable and often the recovery is not complete. When a number of treatments have been performed to reach the final goal, no further treatment is necessary and the continuation of the laser is stopped.
