Reconstruction of the nail bed

The most common cause of deformity of the nail bed is trauma.

Symptoms: changes in the appearance of the nail due to the damage and sinking of the outer edges of the nails into the skin next to the nail plate

Treatment method: Nail restoration includes preparation of the nail bed by removing the damaged nail. The nail forming area in the external parts of the nail bed is destroyed with phenol so that the nail plate grows to a smaller size and the nail sinks into the surrounding skin.
