Subcision

It is used to treat and heal scars caused by acne and other scars. This method is completely related to the physiology of roller scars, which are formed due to the presence of subcutaneous fibrous bands, which cause the skin to pull down and create sunken scars.

Treatment method:

To perform subcision and rebuild the sunken scar, the doctor inserts a needle into the surface layer under the skin. The needle is used to destroy fibrotic scar tissue. In order to maximally separate the fibrotic bands under the surface of the skin, the doctor sends the needle under the lesion in different places towards the sides, front, and back. The strikes caused the separation of fibrotic bands, and the formation of new connective tissue under the sunken space, and as a result, the surface of the scar becomes flatter and more raised compared to the state before the operation. After subcision, the reconstruction and formation of collagen continue for months, and after 12 months, the patient and the doctor will see a 50% improvement in the previous scar. For the treatment of severe pit scars or large affected areas, subcision should be repeated every 6 weeks up to 3 sessions according to the doctor's opinion to achieve a positive result.
