strabismus

Strabismus is a condition where the eyes are not aligned properly. It is one of the most common eye problems in children, affecting about 4% of children under six, regardless of gender.  In this condition, one or both eyes may turn inward, outward, upward, or downward, and sometimes multiple deviations can be observed in a single child.   The condition is also known as "squint" or " crossed eyes"

Treatment Methods:

Use of glasses or prisms, Eye drops, Eye exercises, Patching one or both eyes alternately  (This method is effective especially if amblyopia, or lazy eye, is also present).
