This is a type of congenital heart disease where both the aorta and the pulmonary artery originate from the right ventricle, often associated with other cardiac abnormalities.
Symptoms: Symptoms vary depending on the other associated abnormalities, but generally include shortness of breath, cyanosis (bluish discoloration) if there is concurrent pulmonary artery stenosis, chest pain, syncope (fainting attacks), and early fatigue.
Treatment Method: If there are accompanying cardiac anomalies, the type of treatment method, which is surgical, will vary.
Medical Treatment: There is no pharmacological treatment; heart surgery is the primary treatment.
