Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) in Children
A congenital heart disease, which is one of the developmental heart disorders. The persistence of the ductus arteriosus, which in the fetal stage connects the left pulmonary artery to the descending aorta, leads to this condition. Normally, this duct should close within the first few days of the newborn's life.
Treatment Method: Angiography is used to close the duct, and in specific cases, heart surgery is required for closure.
