Buttocks Augmentation

Method: Buttocks augmentation has one main goal: to improve the shape of the buttocks. However, there are several different approaches to achieve this goal. The two main procedures are fat transfer and silicone implants.

Fat Transfer:

• Buttocks enlargement through fat transfer was the most popular cosmetic surgery for the buttocks in 2015 and is also referred to as "Brazilian Butt Lift."
• In this method, the surgeon performs liposuction to obtain fat from another area of your body (usually the abdomen, hips, or thighs) and injects it into the buttocks to enhance its volume. Sometimes this method is combined with silicone implants to achieve the most natural appearance possible.

Silicone Implants:

• Silicone is the material used for buttocks implants. Unlike injections, solid silicone implants are placed through an incision between both sides of the buttocks.
• This method is sometimes combined with fat transfer for optimal results. Recovery after buttocks surgery usually takes about four weeks.
• Implants typically provide volume, which is something fat transfer alone cannot achieve. Silicone implants are considered a safe and effective method to enhance the buttocks.
• Implants are preferred for individuals with little fat tissue, as they may not have enough fat for the Brazilian Butt Lift.
