Cheek Implants

Cheek implants are a standard procedure to enhance the prominence of the cheeks. This is a permanent method that can be performed alone or in combination with other facial cosmetic surgeries.

• Method:
• Preoperative photographs are taken of the patient.
• The surgeon places a specially-sized implant in front of the cheekbones, making them more prominent and volumized.
• If the implant is placed through the mouth, the patient should consume only liquids and soft foods for 2 weeks post-surgery.
• The cheeks may feel numb for a few hours, followed by sensations of fullness, tightness, and mild burning, which can be alleviated with prescribed medications. Keeping the head elevated during sleep can help reduce swelling.
• The cheeks may appear asymmetrical due to swelling, but this will resolve as the swelling subsides.

Duration of Stay in Iran: 7 to 10 days

Hospital Stay:

Initial consultation at the plastic surgery or ENT clinic

2 days inpatient stay at the surgery department

Follow-up outpatient visit one week after surgery

Full Recovery Time:

The swelling will take about 6 months to fully subside, and final results will be visible after this period. Follow-up visits are required at 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after surgery.

Return to Work: 2 weeks after surgery
