Cystostomy
Cystostomy is a procedure performed for patients unable to urinate through the urethra, often due to severe infection or urethral injury.
Symptoms: Inability to urinate through the urethra.
Treatment Method in the Hospital: The bladder is first filled with saline. Using ultrasound guidance, the bladder is located, and a cystostomy tube is inserted through the abdominal wall into the bladder. The tube is secured to the abdominal wall with sutures.
