Testicular Biopsy

Testicular Biopsy

A testicular biopsy involves removing a small sample of testicular tissue to assess sperm production. Sperm production occurs in the seminiferous tubules of the testicles, where germ cells undergo a 64-day process and 16 stages to become mature sperm.

Symptoms: Primarily required for infertility evaluations.

Treatment Method in the Hospital: A small incision is made on the scrotal skin to expose the testicle. A tiny incision is made on the tunica of the testicle, and a small tissue sample is extracted and sent to pathology. The testicle is then sutured.
