Testicular Exploration

Testicular Exploration

Testicular exploration is performed for various reasons, including locating an undescended testicle (UDT) or addressing trauma to the testicle accompanied by blood accumulation around or inside it, where testicular rupture is suspected.

Symptoms: Absence of palpable testicle(s) on one or both sides; in cases of testicular trauma, detection of testicular rupture

Treatment Method in the Hospital: Performing a Doppler ultrasound is mandatory before surgery. An incision is made in the scrotal skin or groin area, and the testicle is carefully separated from surrounding tissues and examined. Any blood or fluid accumulation around the testicle is drained, and if active bleeding is present, the bleeding vessels are carefully cauterized. In cases of testicular rupture, the testicle is repaired using special sutures.
