Children's Medical Center, the pediatric medical center of excellence in the country and the most comprehensive educational, therapeutic, and research center related to children's diseases in the country, started its activity in 1347 with the efforts of Dr. Hassan Ahri and Dr. Mohammad Gharib. During half a century of activity, the large family of the Children's Medical Center has made efforts to provide knowledge of pediatrics and related surgeries in the country by training dedicated and expert staff, reducing the sufferings of innocent children, and accepting incurable patients in the country, as well as training students in the fields of Specialization, sub-specialization, and related fellowships in the field of internal medicine and children's surgery are the blessings and honors of this reference center.

This complex is proud to hold the international conference on children's diseases on an annual and regular basis 28 years ago, and since 2008, the conference of the nursing group and 2009 the young researchers' section has been held simultaneously with this congress in this center. The authoritative journal of Iranian children's diseases, which is indexed in the database of the Iranian Journal of Pediatrics, ISI, and other databases, has been published by the Children's Medical Center since 1364.

At first, the hospital started working with infectious, kidney, blood, endocrine, surgery, emergency, and specialized clinics, but gradually with the progress of science and the completion of the scientific staff of the hospital, departments such as gastroenterology, immunology and allergy, heart, babies, rheumatology, neurology, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, and other specialized and paraclinical departments were added to it.

The Children's Medical Center has been able to obtain the International Patient Acceptance Certificate (IPD) since 1400 by using new knowledge and technology in various fields and also due to having doctors who are active in international communities.

The Children's Medical Center has 420 licensed beds, and today, with more than 360 active beds and more than 20 inpatient departments, it serves as a reference hospital and a scientific center for children's medicine in the country.

Using 150 faculty members and 450 nursing staff, this center receives an average of 150,000 outpatients and inpatients annually.
