Tehran Cardiovascular Education, Research and Treatment Center is affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences, which is engaged in providing the best quality medical education services with the benefit of the most advanced medical equipment and experienced medical staff, specialists, and academic faculty. By benefiting from the international quality management models, this center has been able to obtain the top ranks in providing internal and external criteria and standards, so that the most prestigious European heart magazine introduced the capabilities and facilities of this treatment center as a center "Cardiac Center of excellence" This center with a capacity of 500 beds and 11 open heart surgery rooms and 6 catheterization laboratory rooms, performs more than 3500 surgeries in various fields of heart diseases every year. Likewise, more than 15,000 specialized procedures are performed annually in the Catheterization Laboratory section of this medical center.

The various inpatient departments have turned this center into one of the most unique centers for serving patients. The presence of para-clinical and outpatient departments including specialized clinics, echocardiography, Holter monitoring of blood pressure and ECG, exercise testing, arrhythmia and syncope are other characteristics of this single specialty hospital.

The existence of medical diagnosis laboratories, imaging departments, CT-scans, MRI, nuclear scans, and modern cardiac rehabilitation are other advantages of this center which completes the treatment process. Tehran Heart Center, with its experienced staff and full-time faculty members, has been able to attract and train a large number of specialized assistants and super-specialized fellowships in various fields for the necessary specialized and sub-specialized training in cardiovascular fields annually.

In the field of research and scientific research, this center has been able to carry out extensive activities with the cooperation of experienced doctors and professors in the field of clinical and experimental research. Preparation of 11 databases related to the field of cardiovascular diseases, experimental research department, and establishment of an Animal lab (including operating room and special care departments), and cath-lab for animals, has been formed for research studies.

In addition to internal research projects, Cardiology Research Institute (CSI) has participated in international projects in various fields of cardiovascular diseases, and the results have been published. That is to say more than 110 scientific articles in prestigious international scientific research journals are printed and published annually.

The existence of scientific journal of Tehran Heart Center, which contains many valid domestic and foreign scientific articles, is published quarterly and indexed in the Pubmed profile. This large medical, educational, and research complex with about 1400 personnel (including doctors, nurses, experienced technicians, and support and administrative staff) by providing the best services derived from the international ISO 9001 and 2000 standards, has been able to obtain the international BTS certificate.

This center has provided the international patient admission department (IPD) with all treatment and outpatient services for them.
