Lithotripter

Lithotripter

The lithotripter is a non-invasive treatment for kidney stones. It operates using external shock waves or lithotripsy and is widely used in the field of urology. Lithotripsy is a non-invasive method for treating kidney and ureter stones. The shock waves generated by the lithotripter pass through the skin and tissues to reach the stones in the kidney, causing the stones to break into smaller pieces. Over the following weeks after the lithotripsy, these fragmented pieces are expelled from the body through the ureters and bladder.
