Dr. Shariati Hospital is one of the well-equipped general hospitals in Tehran. This hospital was established in December 1353 under the name "Dariush Kabir Hospital".

The first and oldest part of Shariati Hospital is the Nuclear Medicine Center which was built in 1344 with the efforts of Sadegh Nizam Mafi (Internal Specialist, Endocrinologist, and Professor at Tehran University). It made significant progress in the fields of treatment, education, and research, so one year after its establishment, it was recognized as one of the most prestigious specialized medical centers in Iran. Moreover, holding important conferences and congresses such as the "International Congress of Neurosurgeons in the Middle-East" with the participation of world-renowned neurosurgeons at Dariush Kabir Medical Center and numerous research articles presented by this center in international congresses and in magazines.
